ICM/ME Portrait (February 2023)
There are over a 100 working gas lamps dotted around the Malverns and it’s said they’re the inspiration for CS Lewis’ Narnia gas lamps as he attended Malvern College as a schoolboy.
For this series of ten gas lamp photographs I alternate between more otherworldly art photography and lamps in-situ within the town. I thoroughly enjoyed my gas lamp project and this particular shot was taken along Hollywell Road, a small, windy, quite magical road which clings to the Eastern flank of the Hill.
